Ever since Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler all went to the retro design with their cars, it really came off cheezy and cheap. During the 90’s and very early 2000’s, I thought they were progressing well up until they decided to go full retro. It can be done right but the use of more plastic and cartoon thick lines, the cars looked extremely bulky and not a serious competitor against the Japanese and Europeans. The comeback of the Ford GT, though very retro, it was the first of the line up I actually considered to be a wonderful comeback because one it’s iconic car modernized and it performed really well. Well up to point where American cars started to break down as they typically do with sub-standard parts and components. Not surprised but the car looked great. I still hope the Mustang evolves more to the typical retro design and come out with something new and not be afraid of critics assumption.
