The new and the old. Back in the 90’s the Nissan GT-R was a mythical performance beast we only heard of from the other side of the world. People called it Godzilla, Ferrari beater, etc. But finally in July 7th, 2008, United States finally got our hands on them. However it had some failures. Launch control destroyed the $30,000 (est) transmission, then Nissan stopped covering the transmission under warranty if you used launch control, and then disabled hard launch to be a very pathetic hard start without raising the RPM too high. After harsh critics from journalists, GT-R owners, and fans, Nissan re-inserted a proper launch by updating the transmission.
