The Fast Lane Car channel test drives a lot of cars and provides typical feedback. However it seems they lack some experience in racing. Even novice racing. A simple 0-60 mph test goes wrong. Something happens to the M6 in the testing but they don’t get into it. Hmmm.
Nissan GTR 0-60 mph in 5.09 seconds???? BMW M6’s 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds? What???
Then you notice in BIG bold sign above the screen to click here to “Watch 0-60 mph with Launch Control HERE” to fix their mistake. You don’t hold the brake and gas at the same time without activating launching. At least to me it’s common sense. So of course the M6 is going to like the torqued by putting feet on brake and gas. You can see the car hunkers down and takes off in unsettling way. These cars with DCT or other manumatic (transmission like in Aventador, BMW’s old SMG, etc.) and launch control in have been out for years now. They should have known.
And here is the fix. Luckily they realized immediately
Nissan GTR in 3.85. Mind you they are in Colorado where the air is real thin and he may have shifted too early. (1 mile above sea level) However, they are still doing it wrong with the M6. They believe it is a pre-production M6 but they failed to go into the computer and selected the appropriate setting. Sorry Germans don’t make it that easy to do Launch Control. There are always procedures.
