So someone finally got the memo that form following function can look good in F1.
With millions of dollars being spent in F1 Research and Development in aerodynamics, someone at Red Bull took notice and decided it better look good.
Why?
Since Vettel has joined F1, Red Bull has seen a lot of podium finishes, especially in 1st place finishes.
If you are going shine, you might want to look good doing it.

Who knows if Ferrari, McLaren, and Williams already looked into this type of design. They may all have calculated that Red Bull’s design causes increase in drag coefficient by 0.1% which can determine from whether they want to finish 1st or 2nd place.
